Mannequin heads, t-shirts in each colour - oh my!

As opening day loomed closer (Oct 6), we decided that it'd probably be a good idea to start...
We had all the materials at hand - styrofoam mannequin heads that we were going to plaster and coloured t-shirts bought from Value Village that would be ripped so we can sew it into a fabric piece. And so without any hesitation, we began to rip and saw! All in all, last week was a great start to this fantastic project!

(I apologize for some of the poorly lit photos; I have to learn how to adjust my settings accordingly.)

How Hose Wendle Came to Existance

It all started back in October of 2009, when the young and aspirational Youth Council members were brainstorming project ideas, the exciting vision of a fashion show sprung into our minds. Months later, after we successfully launched our newly named zine "The Agency", we came right back to project numero 2.

From deep discussions of sexual stereotypes to racial identity, we concluded to our current thesis of how we visibly divide everyone we know with different sides, or layers of ourselves through our outer appearances.

to be continued.
